"You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of the One having called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."
(1 Kepha/Peter 2:9)
Our ancestors were instructed by YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 to sacrifice animals (sin-offerings) each day, in the morning and (evening) afternoon, as a token of their acknowledgement, whenever they obtained conviction of their own sins, which they would have committed.
Each individual who felt moved to confess His/Her sins was required to bring an animal (bull/lamb) without blemish to the Priest at the Temple, and there before the Priest, He would lay his hands upon the head of the animal and confess His sins. This would mean that the individual’s sins would have been (figuratively) transferred from him/herself onto the innocent animal.
The Priest would then slaughter the animal on the Altar of Sacrifice, burn its torso with fire and then take its blood into the Qodesh (Holy) Place of the Temple Sanctuary and sprinkle the blood of the animal on the Altar of Incense that was located before the veil that separated the Qodesh (Holy) Place from the Most Qodesh Place . . . and there petition the Most High YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 for pardon on behalf of the individual whose sins will have been confessed.
The sprinkling of the blood of the animal upon the Altar of Incense would mean that the confessed sins of the individual would have been transferred from the individual, onto the animal and then into the Temple Sanctuary.
This is the appointed way of salvation that YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 established on the earth and in the shamayim (heaven), in order to demonstrate to us exactly how He intends to deal with our sins.
Even more importantly, He established the Temple System of the Hebrews in order to illustrate that all of this which was done figuratively with the blood of animals in the earthly Tabernacle under the first covenant, is conducted in reality in the Heavenly Temple wherein the Saviour YAHUSHA 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 ascended at His resurrection to become our Great High Priest, and there presents the merits of His own shed blood before the Father YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 as an atonement for our sins.
It is for this reason that King David, when He was presented with the plans to build the Temple by YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, exclaimed and said:
"Your Way O' YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 is in the Sanctuary. Who is Great an Aluah as our Aluah?"
(Tehilliym/Psalms 77:13)
This is because by gaining a clear understanding the sacrificial services that were to be conducted therein, He also gained a thorough understanding of the final end of the wicked and of wickedness:
"Truly YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 is good to Yashar'Al, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. Therefore pride encompasses them about as a chain; violence covers them as a garment. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could desire. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning the ones whom they oppress: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their foul language fills the earth. Therefore His people return into slavery: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. And the wicked say, How does YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 know? And is there knowledge in the Most High? Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence. For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. If I say, I will speak thus; Behold, I should bring offences against the generations of your children. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; But until I went into the sanctuary of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄; then I understood their end."
(Tehilliym/Psalms 73:17)
So likewise today, each time we confess our sins to YAHUSHA 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 by faith, He is faithful to plead our case on our behalf before the throne of the Father YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. When we confess our sins to Him, we have the assurance that He has carried them upon Himself as our sin-bearer and transferred them into the Heavenly Temple as our Great High Priest. . . then He secures pardon for our confessed sins, as He intercedes before the Father YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 as our Great High Priest.
However, whilst all this certainly secures Pardon for our lawless deeds, it doesn’t stop us from sinning repeatedly. This is the daily struggle of our existence. So, since there is no other sacrifice that shall be availed to atone for the sins of all who continue to sin, exactly how can we come to a point where we no longer sin, so that YAHUSHA 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 no longer presents the merits of His shed blood in the Heavenly Temple on our behalf?
Whilst His shed blood secures pardon for all our confessed sins, it is His Ruah (Spirit), which He sacrificed for us before the foundation of the world, that imparts to us His very own righteousness and complete victory over sin . . . in a very real and tangible way!
By inviting YAHUSHA 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 the Saviour to come and dwell within our bodily temples by faith, He imparts to us His very own righteousness - because the Ruah Ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit), or 'Comforter' is HIS Ruah (Spirit) in verity!
Therefore, apart from confessing our sins to the Redeemer, we must also plead with Him to pour upon us His Ruah (Spirit), so we may obtain HIS complete victory over sin, HIS perfect righteousness and ultimately HIS immortality.
We must ask Him for the enabling grace to live in obedience to the law of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄,
which can only be possible through the indwelling enabling power of His Ruah (Spirit).
Now, at the TIMES OF REFRESHING (restoration or restitution of all things), when His work as Great High Priest is completed and He exchanges His Priestly Garments for Garments of Vengeance and Royalty, all whose sins have gone before them into the Temple in the shamayim through their own confession and repentance; will have those sins blotted out from the books of record in the shamayim and also from their very own conscience (mind), so that they will not bring them to remembrance anymore!
The KNOWLEDGE of sin (evil) by experience came into the world through Adam, and so through YAHUSHA 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 this knowledge of sin is blotted out . . . and all who have endured in patient obedience to His Word, will be perfected so that they cannot recall their sins anymore . . . nor will they yet sin anymore!
