Mystery of Redemption

<<   Conclusion

"The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His esteem (glory), the esteem (glory) as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

(Yahuahanan/John 1:14).

YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 had existed with the Father in eternity past as Aluah, just as the Father YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 is Aluah. Both the Father and His Son existed as Spirit Beings, and the Father still possesses this nature.

The Son YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 on the other hand, was slain of the Father before the creation of the world and become a man. This is how He is the lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world

(See 1 Peter 1:20, Rev 13:8).

Mankind was in turn created by YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏, in His own likeness and in fulfillment of the Father’s will. YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 the Creator had literally become a man before He created mankind . . . yet at the same time possessing a DUAL NATURE.

In taking our human nature upon himself, YAHUSHA's death (when He was slain before the foundation of the world), involved the sacrifice or setting aside of His Divine Spirit — the life-blood of His eternal soul; for the salvation of His children.

YAHUSHA sacrificed the fullness of His being in order to redeem the human race. This sacrifice meant "parting" with, or "laying aside," His inherent powers of Divinity -- that is to say, He could no longer singularly posses all of His own Divinity within His person.

Now, these two "individuals" inclusively comprise the totality of YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏. They exist as His Humanity and His Divine Spirit (which is that part of His original self, that encompasses His divine power and existed with the Father in eternity). His Dual Nature is thus:

  • The Son of YAHUAH (Spirit)

  • The Son of Man (Human)

Thus the record of Creation states, "Let US create man in OUR image..." because we were created after the likeness of YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 -- the Mediator of the covenant. However, mankind (through Adam) chose to separate from YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 by trusting in someone else (Ha'Satan) and thus mankind was plunged into the miry pit of sin (lawlessness).

This brought with it the curse of death -- "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 is eternal life in YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 our Aluah" (Rom. 6:23).

YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 now embarked on His mission (planned before the foundation of the world) to redeem mankind from this pit of sin. Only YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 could fulfill this mission . . . None but He could restore to man the image of Aluahiym, which had been lost through transgression.

YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 had already exercised great humility and condescension in His being slain of the Father and becoming a man, to be the sole Mediator between YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 the Father and His Creatures, but the steps that He would need to take in order to redeem mankind would require an even greater sacrifice . . . thus making the process of atonement a progressive one, which began when the lamb was slain before the foundation of the world, and took on flesh.

YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 would now have to become man's substitute in fulfilling the penalty for sin. And this would require that the Son of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 would need to completely set aside His Divine (Spirit) Nature and become absolutely the Son of Man -- that YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 would now actually have to "become flesh" in every sense and dwell among us, in order to pay the penalty for our transgression and to restore us to the image of Aluahiym.

Mankind’s redemption has come at an inconceivable cost to YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 and His Son of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 who had pledged to do this for mankind and had made clear to Adam that He would do this. The plan of redemption was explained in the Garden of Eden and was passed down from Adam to his descendants orally and in the form of animal sacrificial services (the slaying and offering of animals on the altar), that graphically demonstrated the horribleness of sin as well as the tremendous cost of sin -- which is death.

Only two options exist for mankind: We may either accept the substitutionary death of our  Creator, or the permanent death of ourselves!

After the "Fall" of Adam, and throughout the First Covenant (Old Testament) period, YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 was to fulfill the role of the promised MashaYAH (Anointed One of YAHUAH) and would reveal the Father YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 to mankind by speaking to us through the patriarchs and prophets. During this period of time, YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 revealed the Unchanging Law of YAHUAH's eternal government -- emphasizing it as the Supreme Law of the entire Universe and the standard by which all men are judged.

The Law of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 not only showed mankind what they should be doing -- it also showed where we fail . . . so we would know for sure what the righteous standard is. But because all mankind have fallen short and transgressed YAHUAH's Law, the Law has placed all mankind under its condemnation -- whose punishment is eternal death. This condemnation makes clear our need for a Saviour and so, serves to point us to YAHUAH's Anointed Saviour - YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏.

Also, during this time, YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 would continue to reveal Himself as the Savior of mankind through detailed "enacted parables" and through the sacrificial services of the Hebrew Tabernacle and Temple. All the while YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 was attempting to draw mankind out of the pit of sin and into a clearer understanding of YAHUAH's character and purposes, mankind were retreating further into the realm of darkness.

YAHUSHA's repeated attempts to bring mankind to an understanding of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, to His will and back into a proper relationship with Him through faith in YAHUSHA's atoning sacrifice had gone unheeded. But YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 would not give up. The time had come for YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 to actually become a human being born in the likeness of sinful flesh -- as we are.

The time had come for YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 to demonstrate what we can achieve through a total surrender of ourselves to YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 by faith with complete dependence upon Him. The time had come for YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 to give Himself for us -- and to us. YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 was about to make the ultimate sacrifice for the salvation of mankind!

So then, why are we only content to simply say 'YYAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 became a man and died for our sins?' Do we really believe that this is ALL there is to it?

Why are we so grossly ignorant of what YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 has actually done for us through His Son, in order to grant us eternal life?

'YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.' 'Let this mind be in you, which was also in YAHUSHA: who, being in the form of Aluah thought it not robbery to be equal with YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of sinful flesh'

The sacrifice to secure or salvation began before the Creation of the world, and step-by-step the unfolding sacrifice of YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 has been greater and ever greater. Now, He was about to fully become a man in order to redeem us. What condescension on the part of YAHUSHA!

Behold what manner of love this is . . .

YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 had already parted with much of His own inherent Divinity at the time of His being slain of the Father to become the sole Mediator between YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 and His Creatures. YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 had then possessed a Dual Nature -- He had "parted with" much of His inherent Divinity in the sense that He was not walking around with His "pre-creation" glory.

He was not Omnipresent, Omniscient, or Omnipotent. In this form, He was still the Creator and still had access to his own "divine power" -- but He voluntarily agreed not to use it for Himself -- but now He was to "lay aside His divinity" and take on the nature of Human Beings in order to stand in our stead, pay the penalty for our transgression, and to show us how we can be victorious over the power of sin and freed from it's dominion over us.

But YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 was to do even more than that . . . YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏, through the Infinite Sacrifice of His own Spirit for us, was not only going to restore man to his proper relationship with YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 -- He was going to make man capable of being a partaker of the Divine Nature! He was going to elevate us to the status of becoming Aluahiym!

It is extremely important to remember that YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 is the One who had to do this. He was the One whom it had been agreed upon with the Father that He would take up this mission and offer this sacrifice to save mankind. He would have to completely set aside all that made Him to be Aluah and become one of us. Much of this is a mystery to us . . . We do not, and perhaps cannot, understand how Aluah could become a man -- but the Scriptures tell us some of how it was accomplished.

YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 has done everything for us . . . He withheld not even himself. YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 has paid the penalty for our transgression in His humanity, but that is simply not enough to bring about our transformation into His likeness: YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 must become be in us a living, working power.

He can only transform us into His image by abiding in us through the indwelling of His Ruah Ha'Qodesh (Holy Spirit) -- the Comforter.

It is this His Spirit that confirms and makes effectual what YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏, in His Humanity, has done for us. His Spirit is responsible for the completion of the Plan of Redemption in us. It is His Spirit that makes effectual what has been wrought out by the world's Redeemer.

It is by His Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through His Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the Divine Nature. YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 has sacrificed His Spirit as a gift to enable us to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the soul.
YAHUSHA's Divinity and His Humanity combined, constitute the perfect sacrifice that He has made in order to make us "One" with Aluahiym.

Many people do not accept the fact that YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 could, and did, in fact become a human being. They don't like to consider such a prospect. They suppose that if they accept this fact, that we are making YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 "nothing more than one of us." They think that acknowledging this truth would somehow lessen the Glory and Esteem of the person of YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏. But nothing could be further from the truth!

YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 represented the nature of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 perfectly - in His humanity . . . as One who was himself once fully Aluah, condescended to become a man and to pass over the ground that we must tread. "Although He existed in the form of Aluah, He did not regard equality with YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, being made in the likeness of men." (Phil. 2:6,7).

Through complete dependence and surrender to His Father, He never broke away from YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 and therefore never sinned.

In His perfect humanity He took on our sin and paid the penalty for our transgression.

In His humanity, as our High Priest; He pleads before the throne of YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 the merits of His perfect sacrifice on our behalf.

By acknowledging the humanity of YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏, we acknowledge that YAHUSHA has made it possible for us to be "One" with Him. Rather than being uncomfortable with YAHUSHA's humanity, we should be in "awe" of it, and embrace it . . . as the only means by which we are able to obtain His Spirit which He sacrificed and set aside for us. This is why the gift of the Comforter could not be given whilst He was still here on earth . . . because He has set His Divine Spirit aside in its fullness for us!

Prayer for Daily Repentance & Confession of Sins

Abba (Father) YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 —My Creator, My King, My Saviour . . .

I . . . < State Your Name > reverently and fearfully come here before your presence in the Name of YAHUSHA my Great High Priest, to confess my sins so that per chance, I may find mercy in your sight . . .

I humbly confess that I’ve sinned against you, in the way that I’ve lived this life that you’ve given to me . . .

I have used this body that you gave me to: < state all known sins >, against the counsels of Your Law (instructions) . . .

I am ashamed and crushed by the guilt of my sin as well as the alienation from You, that my sins have brought upon me . . .

I hereby confess all these sins that I’ve committed and also the sins of my ancestors who did not walk in your ways of RIGHTEOUSNESS & TRUTH; upon YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 my sin-bearer —the lamb of YAH that takes away our sins and I humbly accept your Gift of Salvation through the Infinite Sacrifice that was provided as a penalty for my sins . . . the means by which to bring me to Righteousness and Eternal Life.

Save me please, in-spite of myself . . .

I give you express consent, to do everything you can to save me —even against my own will, because I cannot trust even the best intentions of my heart.

Give me more of your enabling grace and help me to overcome every sin that easily besets me, keeping my soul captive . . .

Cast away all my sins (lawless thoughts and deeds) and give me a clean heart and mind, so I may love righteousness and hate all iniquity (lawlessness) with a fiery passion . . .

Lift the light of your countenance upon me, so I may reverently endeavour to live in obedience to your Commandments & Statutes by faith . . .

Come to my aid in all my sufferings under this yoke of sin . . .

Send the Comforter —the Ruah (Spirit) of YAHUSHA ‎𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏, which He sacrificed when He was slain before the foundation of the world… to be given to me as a gift — as the means by which He now imparts to me HIS very own Righteousness and HIS very own Complete Victory Over Sin . . .

So I may be made worthy to partake also in HIS immortality . . .

HalaluYAH!

Dearly Beloved, exercise faith and sincerely repeat this prayer DAILY, taking careful note to mention EVERY sin (transgression of YAHUAH's Law) that the Ruah (Spirit) makes you aware of, for this is what YAHUAH 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 says:

"I know their contrariness and their thoughts and their stiffneckedness, and they will not be obedient till they confess their own sin and the sin of their fathers.  And after this they will turn to Me in all uprightness and with all (their) heart and with all (their) soul, and I will circumcise the foreskin of their heart and the foreskin of the heart of their seed, and I will create in them a set-apart spirit, and I will cleanse them so that they shall not turn away from Me from that day and throughout eternity. And their souls will cleave to Me and to all My commandments, and they will fulfill My commandments, and I will be their Father and they shall be My children. And they all shall be called children of the living Aluahiym, and every angel and every spirit shall know, indeed, they shall know that these are My children, and that I am their Father in uprightness and righteousness, and that I love them."

(Book of Jubilees Chapter 1:21-24)
